Frequently asked questions
Do I need an account?
No. You can track your own medicines on your phone without an account. You only need to verify your email address if you want to follow a relative's medicines or restore your account on a new phone.
Reminders don't arrive or arrive late.
Make sure notifications are allowed for Medsie in iPhone Settings › Notifications › Medsie, and that "Time Sensitive Notifications" is on. Focus modes and Silent mode can hide or mute notifications. In the app, Settings › Reminders › "Send a test notification" checks that everything works.
How do I follow my mother's or father's medicines?
Open Relatives. Either ask them for the 6-digit code shown on their phone, or tap "Set up my mother's / father's phone" to send an invite link or show a QR code. They accept on their own phone; nothing is shared until they do.
My relative missed a dose. What happens?
Their phone reminds them, reminds them once more, then our server sends a reminder. If the dose is still not marked, you get an alert with "Ring their phone" and "Call" buttons. When they take it later, you get a quiet "taken" notification.
What is the code on the medicine box?
Medicine boxes sold in Turkey carry a square "Karekod". Scanning it fills in the medicine name, strength and box size, and adds the expiry date. Outside Turkey you can add medicines by typing their name.
How do I delete my data?
Settings › Privacy › "Delete my account and data". You can also turn off cloud sharing there and keep using the app on your phone only.
Is Medsie medical advice?
No. Medsie is a reminder tool and does not replace your doctor or pharmacist.
