The Challenge
The company provides snubbing, pumping, heating, hot-oil and nitrogen services and produces a PDF field ticket for every job. Turning those tickets into invoice data meant reading each one by hand for the customer, location, AFE/PO number, line items and operating, standby and transit hours.
Our Solution
Working with an automation agency partner, we built an n8n workflow that runs every evening. It picks up the day's field-ticket PDFs, uses an LLM to extract structured JSON (invoice number, customer, location, AFE/PO, line items, operating, standby and transit hours), files each PDF with its JSON in dated Google Drive folders, and emails a consolidated invoice report to the team. We tested extraction on real tickets for a month before going live.
The Outcome
Since September 2025 the workflow has produced a dated archive and invoice report every day, turning a stack of PDFs into structured data the billing team can check.
