Key Results
From a requirements document to a working SaaS: planning, sales and cost modules, approval flows and a full management-reporting suite in Turkish and English
The Challenge
Planard's founders wanted to replace the spreadsheets and heavyweight planning software that finance teams were stuck with. They had a detailed requirements document but no product, and needed a team to turn it into a multi-company SaaS with scenarios, approvals and management reporting.
Our Solution
Starting in June 2020 we built the app in sprints run together with the client: an Angular front end on a .NET Core Web API with an identity service, PostgreSQL and Azure hosting. Modules cover planning (guidance, scenarios, timeline), sales (prices, forecast, narratives) and costs (plan, central costs, narratives), with approval flows, roles, company setup and email notifications in Turkish and English.
The Outcome
Reports include a sales overview, growth drivers, sales bridge, price-volume-mix, cost bridge and trend, P&L and scenario comparison. Later releases added actuals, cost narratives and asset life and amortization, and we kept extending the product until late 2024.
