The Challenge
The clinic tests athletes on force plates and sprint-timing systems, then writes each program by hand from a large exercise library. That takes time, and the reasoning behind each choice lives in the coaches' heads.
Our Solution
We built a web app with athlete profiles, VALD test-data sync, Excel import and PDF export. The first engine (2023–24) combined rules with Q-learning; in 2025 we rebuilt it as an LLM generator with retrieval over the clinic's exercise library of 1,800+ entries by exercise, goal and body region. Coaches add athlete notes, regenerate, swap exercises for alternatives, rate results with thumbs up or down, and export a printable program. Programs match the athlete's level within two steps and adapt to their sport.
The Outcome
By September 2025 the clinic's team was using the system with athletes in real time. In 2026 we're adding individualized four-week programs, exercise selection driven by the clinic's intervention guide for force-plate and sprint tests, and stored AI-versus-coach comparisons so the logic can be checked against past athletes.
