The Challenge
When a funeral home moves to FrontRunner, families expect every obituary, photo, video and condolence from the old website to be there on launch day, and the business needs its case history from whatever management system it used before. Every source is different, and launch dates don't move.
Our Solution
We run two kinds of pipelines. Record migrations extract obituaries, services, images, videos and condolences from the old website and push them into FrontRunner through its API. Management conversions translate backups from MIMS, Director's Assistant, FMA50, Mortware, Terrapro, FDMS and Ionic into FrontRunner's holding system. Each job is tracked as a ticket, checked, and re-run or fixed during the client's launch when needed.
The Outcome
Our founder's work with FrontRunner began with a single website migration in 2012, and Smart Maple has run it as a team since 2020. It now spans more than 250 tracked jobs, with single imports of around 7,000 cases (2024) and 4,431 records plus about 600 videos (2023).
